Describe R.O (Revese osmosis ) operating function.?

in RO it is consist of filter sediment, carbon, post carbon , memrene ,(hw it works ) if possible also describe memrene (hw it pufie the water )

normal osmosis is solvent moving from area of low solute concentration to area of high solute concentration via a semipermeable membrane..

now reverse osmosis is the reverse that is solvent move from high solute concentration area to low conc area via a semi permeable membrane..by applying pressure on the high solute conc area

In water purification we apply pressure on water with more solutes and minerals... and water via membrane move to other part which is collected as more pure water.. the membrane pore size can be adjusted to get desired quality water...
