roast beef?
I am cooking a giant rib roast beef (6.17 lb) tomarrow on my farberware electric open hearth broiler and want to know how long to cook it to get it rare.

Time realy depends on temperature. A roast of that size I would say 275 for an hour and a half. But check it periodicaly with a probe thermomater. 110 degrees will get you rare it will cary over cook to 120 degrees.
