Why do old music tend to be better than today's music?

I mean, honestly! I highly doubt that any of the top 100 artists of today will be remembered in 20 years or so, but look at bands like Led Zeppelin! They were top 100 and they were good! What do you think? Old music was just good or is it just nostalgia that does it seem that way? I personally think it was just better lol

Personal taste I Party regardless, I agree that people like Michael Jackson was way better than rock bands or pop stars today, but I prefer hip hop today that the old rock and pop. But I think the rising stars has an advantage in the past because it was not illegal downloading of music
