Is it better to watch your calorie intake or...?

grams of fat, to lose a couple pounds??? Why?
Please let me know, I would appreciate it.... also, If you could back up your answer that would help a lot! <3

Calories are the fuel that the body uses to create energy. Every calorie you do not need for fuel gets turned into fat and stored on the body. Most fats are animal products that the body metabolizes the protein from and then stores it as it's self, though most often in the cardiovascular system and the liver. Some fats are good for you, olive oil, nuts, etc.

My answer is both, but calories are going to show you an immediate improvement. "A couple pounds" will just come right back if you don't accept that this needs to be a life change. There is so much good food out there that isn't fattening or high caloric, experiment and find things you like.
