All One
What can cause one room to be freezing, and all other rooms warm?
We have central heat and air, and there is one bedroom that is freezing cold all of the time and the room next to it that's gets really hot. I was just wondering if someone knows the cause for this, and how to fix it.
If you have forced air...
- Check that the vents into that room are open and flowing freely. If the the vents are closed or there is a clog it would force air into the nearby rooms.
- Close, or partially close, the vents in the 'hot' room to force more air into the cold room.
- Leave the doors open. Or, add venting in the rooms to allow for better air flow back to the return register. Our bedroom is often much warmer/cooler than other rooms in the house because there is very little airflow (you can feel the pressure on the door when the furnace/AC is running).
